Nadasurabhi - Annual Festival of Music

Nadasurabhi celebrates its 20th Annual Festival of Music from the 12th to 17th November 2013. There will be seven concerts. Carnatic Music legend Padma Bhushan Sangita Kalanidhi Vidwan Madurai T.N.Seshagopalan will be felicitated and bestowed with the title of 'Sangeetha Surabhi' for the year 2013. The concerts are open to all music lovers. Nadasurabhi requests all its members, rasikas and well wishers to donate generously towards this musical extravaganza, so that we can continue the cultural service to the world of Indian Classical Music. Ustad Ghulam Ali is a Pakistani ghazal singer of the Patiala gharana . He is not to be confused with the Indian singer Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (of whom he was a disciple) or Chhote Ghulam Ali, who is another Pakistani singer in the Qual Bachon Gharana. Ghulam Ali is considered as one of the best ghazal singers of his era. His style and variations in singing Ghazals has been noted as unique, as he blended Hindustani classical music with ghazals, unlike any other Ghazal singer. Highly popular in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, as well as amongst South Asian Diaspora in the USA, the UK and the Middle Eastern Countries. Many of his hit ghazals have been used in Bollywood movies. His famous ghazals are Chupke Chupke Raat Din, Kal Chaudhvin Ki Raat Thi, Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, Kiya Hai Pyar Jise, May Nazar Se Pee Rahahoon, Mastana Peeye, Ye dil ye pagal dil, Apni Dhoon Mein. 07.00 PM.
