Mohan Shyam Sharma

Sri. Mohan Shyam Sharma was born in Rajasthan on 2nd April, 1966. He began his basic training in pakhawaj when he was just ten. His teacher at that time was Pt. Tota Ram Sharman of Mathura, a disciple of Pt Purushottam Dasji of Nathdwara. Sri Sharma then took advanced lessons from Pt. Prem Vallabh of Delhi.

Sri. Mohan Shyam Sharma has been an A grade artiste of the All India Radio for the past ten years. He was a participant in the Akashwani Sangeet Sammelan organized by Akashwani, Ranchi in 1991. He has accompanied all the leading performers of dhrupad and dhamar, both in India and and on tours abroad. He has toured with the Dagar Brothers and with Ustad Asad Ali Khan to many countries i Europe and Asia. He has also performed at the Festival of India in the former USSR, Switzerland and Japan. Apart from a busy career as an accompanist, he has also given solo concerts.
