Professional Qualifications:

1. M.A (music)- in Indian music of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh. Passed with 1st division in 2001.

2. "Sangit Praveen" ( M. Mus) - in Indian music of Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad. Passed with 1st division in 1998.

3. "Sangit Prabhakar" ( B. Mus) – in Indian music of Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad. Passed with 1st division in 1996.

4. Taking continuous Taaleem (practical training) from Pt Mahesh Prasad Mishra since childhood and also trained by two other gurus, mentioned above since 1999 in different facets of music like Khayal, Dhrupad, Dhammaar, Tarana, Tappa, Thumri, Bhajan, Ghazal, Play-back singing etc.

5. Regular general artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan since 1993.

Academic Qualification

1. M.Com-of the University Of Calcutta. Passed with 1st division in 1996.

2. B.Com (Hons)-Three years course of The University Of Calcutta. Passed with 2nd division in 1994

3. Higher Secondary Examination- of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination. Passed with 1st division in 1991.

Working Experience

1. Currently working with The ARDEE school, Gurgaon.

2. Worked with the Scottish High International School, Gurgaon as Indian Music Teacher since the school started i.e. from March 2005 till June 2009, Where I have attended workshops and seminars related to PYP led by Mr Morrey, Mrs Hamidah, Mr & Mrs Mustafi, Mrs Rohini, Mrs Vijaylaxmi, Mrs Nichol etc from time to time.

3. Joined "Pandit Baaleshwar Music College”, Kolkata as music teacher in 1998 and worked till March 2004.

4. Joined "Sarbo Bharatiya Kala Kendra", Kolkata as music teacher in 1997 and worked till March 2004.

5. Started teaching music in "Prachyavaani Mahavidyalaya", Kolkata in 1995 and was there up to 1997.

6. Given lecture-demonstration classes in workshops of music with Pt Kumar Prasad Mukherjee, a Vocalist and musicologist, in The Rabindra Bharati University , Paschimbang Raajya Sangit Academy (Government of West Bengal) etc.

7. Did the notation of bandishes (compositions) sang by the renowned Pandits and Ustaads of our country under the Ford Foundation project of ITC-Sangit Research Academy, Calcutta in 2003-2004.

• Taught commerce in the Bangabasi College Of Commerce, a college under the University of Calcutta, since June 1997 to May 1998.

Awards and Honours
1. Received "Surmani" title for singing from an organization Sur-Singar-Samsad, Mumbai in 1994.
2. Received "National Scholarship" for vocal music from the Ministry of HRD (Government of India) from 1995 to 1998.

Books
• Wrote a book on music in Bengali "Gaaner Dhaarapat" published by Bangiyo Sangit Parishad in 2005.

Major Shows
1. Given first public performance in 1980 when I was only six years old on the occasion of the 51st birthday celebration of the famous female singer of our country Smt Girija Devi, organized by ITC-SRA, Calcutta.

2. Giving regular programs in the All India Radio and Doordarshan since age of nine, from the year 1983.

3. Performed in the "Chain Music Concert" organized by the Min of Information and Broadcast in Siliguri, Agartala and Calcutta in 1994

4. Performed in the "National Integration Camp" organized by the Min of HRD (Government of India) in 1995 in Pondichery, Raameshwaram, Madurai and Kanyakumari.

5. Performed in the "Inter-State Youth Cultural Exchange Programme" organized by the Government of West Bengal in 1996 in Digha, Bolpur, Darjeeling and Gangtok.

6. Performed as singer and was the music director of "Bharat-Bharatam" produced on the occasion of the 50 years of independence, jointly organized by Dr Roma Choudhary Foundation, Department of youth affairs (Government of WB) and Ministry of HRD(Government of India).
